We are certainly seeing wars and hearing rumours of wars all around us, and I can say it would be easy to say world war 3 is upon us. But not just yet, there is still some wriggle room. However, I do expect things to get more intense in the near future

The obvious starting point is Israel and Iran, is Israel going to bomb the Iranian nuclear facilities? Ask me a few months ago and I would have said Yes without doubt, but something is holding Israel back at the moment.
Is Russia going to continue with its attacks on Ukraine?
Is China going to try a hostile takeover of Tiawan?
It would not take much to start a full blown war, but I think we are going to see something else happen first.

Iran is up against the wall, they are trapped in the corner with no way out or to save face, most of their proxy terror groups are being slaughtered by Israel, Israel have shown that they can bomb facilities in Iran without a problem. Iran knows it could loose everything if they make the wrong move. The Iranian economy has crashed big time, Iran has spent all of its money on weapons. Yes they are managing to keep going for the moment, but the USA will soon be placing bigger sanctions on them by President Trump. Blowing up the nuclear facilities will be difficult and is not guaranteed to work, as most of the facilities have been built underground and inside of mountains. Blowing up the oil refineries and extractions facilities would harm not only Iran but plunge the western world into an energy crisis that has no way out for a long time. Israel is thinking that they cannot do either without suffering a huge backlash from the rest of the world.
But, Iran still has a plan and I think this will be an announcement that they have the mardi, the islamic messiah that has been waited for. They will introduce him onto the world scene as the messiah who will join all the islamic factions together and launch the final jihad.
However, I do not think that this will go down well with the islamic world. Iran and most of those who are fighting Israel are from the Shite tribe, they are the militant tribe of the islamic world. They have an opposing tribe, the sunnys, who are also waiting for their messiah to launch the final caliphate. Yes 2 different tribes who both claim to be directly descended from allah, and both believe that they will be the final ruling tribe. So who is the main militant sunny tribe, not Saudi Arabia or any of the other gulf states, not Egypt, try Turkey. Turkey's current leader, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He is not going to be amused with Iran if they name and show off the new messiah. Turkey believe that they will have the new messiah and that they are going to re-instate the Ottoman empire, I think this is what is going to happen. Turkey will attack Iran, probably blow Tehran of the map and then send in an invading army, Turkey will take out the Iranian guard corps and all the political and religeous leaders. The normal people in Iran will probably rise up at the same time, to take back what was their country before the 1979 take over of the Ayatollah. The current Ayatollah is not in good health, they have already chosen his successor, ready to take over when the current one dies. We are looking at the Goat and Ram war as described in Daniel chapter 8. You may say that this has already been fulfilled and that it refers to Alexander the Great, but I would say, read the full prophesy and especially the ending and what happens after Alexander is killed, it does not fit, it is not correct, so the prophesy is still be be completed. So the Ram is Iran and the Goat is Turkey, the ram has a horn broken off and another horn grows in its place. The first horn is the current leader of Iran who will either die or be killed and the new horn is his replacement. However it may be that the current Ayatollah is on his death bed and the replacement is announced and they are both killed together in the same war.

Youngs Literal Translation : Daniel 8:2-7
2: And I see in a vision, and it cometh to pass, in my seeing, and I am in Shushan the palace that is in Elam the province, and I see in a vision, and I have been by the stream Ulai.
3: And I lift up mine eyes, and look, and lo, a certain ram is standing before the stream, and it hath two horns, and the two horns are high; and the one is higher than the other, and the high one is coming up last.
4: I have seen the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward, and no living creatures do stand before it, and there is none delivering out of its hand, and it hath done according to its pleasure, and hath exerted itself.
5: And I have been considering, and lo, a young he-goat hath come from the west, over the face of the whole earth, whom none is touching in the earth; as to the young he-goat, a conspicuous horn is between its eyes.
6: And it cometh unto the ram possessing the two horns, that I had seen standing before the stream, and runneth unto it in the fury of its power.
7: And I have seen it coming near the ram, and it becometh embittered at it, and smiteth the ram, and breaketh its two horns, and there hath been no power in the ram to stand before it, and it casteth it to the earth, and trampleth it down, and there hath been no deliverer to the ram out of its power.
You can continue with the reading if you wish and you will see the after effects of this war, but the part you need to see now is that the Goat moves swiftly to attack the Ram and destroy it by breaking both the horns in verses 6 and 7. Elam province is part of the western edge of Iran, other prophesies show that Elam will be devastated.
So I should explain why I think this prophesy has not been completed yet. Let me continue with the reading in Daniel a few verses later.
Daniel 8:16-22
16: And I hear a voice of man between the banks of Ulai, and he calleth and saith: Gabriel, cause this one to understand the appearance.
17: And he cometh in near my station, and at his coming in I have been afraid, and I fall on my face, and he saith unto me: Understand, son of man, for at the time of the end is the vision.
18: And in his speaking with me, I have been in a trance on my face, on the earth; and he cometh against me, and causeth me to stand on my station,
19: and saith: Lo, I — I am causing thee to know that which is in the latter end of the indignation; for, at the appointed time is the end.
20: The ram that thou hast seen possessing two horns, are the kings of Media and Persia.
21: And the young he-goat, the hairy one, is the king of Javan; and the great horn that is between its eyes is the first king;
22: and that being broken, stand up do four in its place, four kingdoms from the nation do stand up, and not in its power.
Gabriel, this is the Angel Gabriel, is told to make sure that Daniel understands the vision he has seen. You will see at the end of verse 17 Gabriel tells Daniel this vision is for the "end time" and again at the end of verse 19 " at the appointed time is at the end". Then in verse 22 Gabriel tells that the Rams kingdom is broken into 4 nations. Alexander the Great was not in the "end times" and his empire was not split into 4 pieces.

The scene is now set for the Gog Magog war on Israel. I see Erdoğan or his successor forming the allience that will attack Israel. Erdoğan has openly said he sees it as his duty to liberate Jerusalem and take over the temple mount.
Sorry to tell you but Gog and Magog is not Russia it is Turkey, but that is for another article.
